Re-issue of passport on the expiry or up to one year before expiry of existing passport.

Step 1

Apply online at: Passport Seva Portal

While filling the form:

Provide 02 addresses: one in India (for police verification) and one in Finland
Upload photo and signature as per the official guidelines: Guidelines for Photo and Guidelines for Signature

Visit the Embassy between 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM on working days with the following:

Printed online application form (with ink signature on Last Page)

01 color photos (35×45 mm, white background).

Current passport (Mandatory) to be submitted at the Embassy

Self-attested copies of passport (first & last page)

Self-attested copies of residence permit (both sides)

Printed Payment receipt (Bank transfer only)

Proof of Indian address for police verification- If the passport printable address differs from the address on existing passport.

If applicable

Address change: Proof of new address (Voter ID, Aadhar card, utility bill, bank statement, rent agreement, etc.)
Change in Marital Status: Marriage certificate or Joint Photo Declaration-Annexure ‘J’ (Apostilled if married in Finland) + Spouse Passport Copy
Name change after Marriage/Addition of Spouse name: Marriage certificate or Joint Photo Declaration- Annexure ‘J’ (Apostilled if married in Finland)+ Spouse Passport Copy
Name change after Divorce/Deletion of Spouse name: Divorce decree/Court order (Apostilled if Divorced in Finland)
If appearance has significantly changed then please fill out- Affidavit for change of Appearance.

Change of Name

From India: 02 Clippings of Newspaper/Gazette Notification + 02 Official documents in new name e.g. Aadhaar Card/ Voter ID/PAN Card etc.

From Finland(only for long term Resident): 02 Local Public documents issued by the local (Finland) government/local school/educational institution.
